Synapses of the Game:


       Nomad is a real time strategy game built using the Neo-Axis Engine. The game evolved around the idea of the human race being nomadic space travelers fight off an plant like aliens for resources. Every unit had to be human faction unit had to be Mobil.

       However the game eventually progressed into a kind of tower defense game where you play as the plant faction. The game starts with your main hub with which you use to “branch out” . in doing so you collect resources build extension nodes and repel the nomads attacks. You would win buy building 20 nodes or wiping out the nomadic human faction.  



Main Hub:

 Programs used: Maya, Photoshop,  Z-Brush, Neo-Axis Engin


The Main hub is the central unit of the game. It contains the hive mind of the plant faction.

 Roots

The roots are used to expand the plants radius in order to gather resources, expand line-of-sight, and keep the colony alive. Any plant unit not connected to the main hub ceases to function and dies over time while not connected. If connection was broken it could be reestablished by creating another node near the unconnected unit.
